Yes, Ripto's Rage is my personal favorite, although my copy broke so I need to get another one.
Re: Forgotten/hidden gems in videogames
I know this super obscure game called Minecraft, very rare game to come across. Jay kay
As for a real forgotten game, The Neverhood Chronicles. Its one of my favorite games of all time but you're pretty lucky if you can find it on ebay for under $70

Also, I loved the original Crash Bandicoot games. They're pretty forgotten by now sadly.

Hahaha, I loved those shitty gameboy versions. I remember Silicone Valley had one, and they tried to remake it in 2D to varying and questionable success.
Which reminds me: SILICONE VALLEY. I haven't thought about that for ages, but my god it was awesome.

Re: Forgotten/hidden gems in videogames
I am actually surprised there's not any more gems here (and that I'm the last one to post here) I thought of a MINOR one here, a real gem is Star Wars Battlefront, well known in its time, but wiped from memory now.

Why do people bring up Pikmin as a lost gem? I played the first one, got the second one as soon as it came out and ever since have been waiting patiently for Pikmin 3. And I mean, they remade BOTH games for the WII. Pikmin is very well known commercially near as I can tell.

As I said, not so much forgotten, and it was already stated. Seth, whats your opinion on Battlefront?

What's not to love? I never really got into it even though my friend and cousin showed it to me on PC long ago. But not too long ago I was hospitalized for like a month. Battlefront on the hospitals PS2 was basically the only entertainment I had to keep me sane. I loved it. So much so I bought the xbox version thinking xbox360 would actually play pre-generation games. Mistake.
I must say I prefer Battlefront 2, but that makes sense for it's like newer and basically the same game with new content...

Actually Pikmin 2 remake made it to every country except America.
Re: Forgotten/hidden gems in videogames
Seth, my Xbox DOES play pre-generations, the only way I have been playing it like hell for the past 2 weeks, it may have been an older model for you... mines just a little arcade. I love how I used to suck at the game on easy, but now I go on hard and beat the Jedi's K/D (as in, I'd go 50-0 they go 11-1)

You're lucky D: but then again my 360 was just some really old model I got for 50$ from these dudes so it makes sense that it would suck. I mean.. they were selling it 100$ for the xbox, 6 games, and all the Rock Band instruments perfect condition. xD

ETERNAL CHAMPIONS. LET'S GO. Take me to town saying that you remember this.
Re: Forgotten/hidden gems in videogames
It can out a few years ago but I think Vanquish was a hidden gem. The gameplay was super fast and fun. Also Lord of the Rings War in the North was a nice linear RPG that came out under the radar. Both of these can now be easily achieved for under $20.
